Symptoms of corona virus includes

Illness can be more severe for some people and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties
As people rushing to keep themselves protected,  Ayurveda as usually  stresses on  preventative methods .
Ayurvedic perspective is be mindful and aware of things around you and make wise decisions depending on situations.

  1. stay home/ keep away from crowded areas
  2. Wash hands regularly
  3. Be more mindful around pets
  4. Wear a mask if people around are sick
  5. Avoid sharing meals or household things
  6. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
  7. Build up your immunity with fresh home cooked meals
  8. Avoid frozen or left overs food.
  9. Drink plenty of warm water.
  10. Do not over exert or over exercise
  11. Take rest by going to bed bit earlier
  12. Monitor your symptoms

There are millions of unseen, unnoticed viruses around us. Till our immune system is working strong we do not get any symptoms , our body’s  fighting mechanism help to keep them away.
Once our immune system is compromised for what ever reason, that is when attack from deadly viruses, bacteria or any kind of foreign body causes disease/illness.
Coronavirus primarily affects on  respiratory system. Lungs , nose, sinuses, throat all get affected with this virus. Causing above symptoms.
Building immunity is the key to fighting any kind of foreign body invasion in to our system.
Amla ( Emblica Officinalis),  Tulsi (Holi basil), Giloy (TInospors Cordifolia) are some of the herbs which helps in building the immunity and preventing the infection.
In Ayurveda, good digestion and regular bowel evacuation  plays very important role in fighting disease.  By drinking Detox tea or fresh ginger, pinch of black pepper, Moringa and turmeric tea helps to build up strong metabolism.   Mint leaves and fennel seeds are also good for improving digestion.

Corona virus is becoming serious concern and if you are little sensitive towards cold cough or any sickness, this is the time to pay little more attention to your health.  Here are some Ayurvedic suggestion
Ayurvedic Herbs: Regular consumption of Ayurvedic herb like Triphala, Turmeric, Ashwagandha,  Chawyanprash are helpful in strengthening the immune system and  boosts the human body’s immunity which is necessary to fighting the deadly virus. Eating a table spoon of Chywanprash every day enhances the immunity and it may prevent you from catching the illness.
Nasya:  Is an Ayurvedic preventative therapy for upper respiratory system, including nose, sinuses, throat, head. Moisturizing nostrils with Nasya oil or 2-3 drops of sesame seed oil not only lubricate the nasal passage and throat but also strengthen the inner mucous membrane to keep the foreign body away.

Oil Pulling  Oil pulling is another therapy in Ayurveda helps to remove toxins and bad bacteria from throat, helping in reducing inflammation and pain.

Pranayam:  Breathing exercises also increases building up immunity.  Alternate Nadi Shodhan and Kapalbhati are the best breathing exercises to strengthening respiratory system and restoring balance.
